My Approach to Counselling
I believe in a personalised approach to counselling that is shaped around your unique needs, experiences, and goals.
My work is integrative, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to best support you as an individual. These may include Person-Centred Therapy, Relational Psychodynamics, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Somatic Therapy.
I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted. I am committed to creating a safe and supportive environment in which you can explore life’s challenges and share any thoughts, feelings, or experiences at your own pace.
I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy, depending on what feels most appropriate and supportive for you.
On a Tuesday I work with clients online, on a Wednesday I work face to face in Monmouth and on a Thursday at the The Multi Agency Centre in Abergavenny.
All sessions will last 50 minutes and cost £60. Longer sessions of 90 minutes are available on request.

About me
I am an experienced counsellor & psychotherapist and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) working in Monmouth and Abergavenny. I am a fully qualified counsellor holding a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy from the University of South Wales.
For several years, I worked with Mind Monmouthshire, the mental health charity in the role of Counselling Lead. I co-managed the counselling service, supported trainee counsellors, and continued to support clients myself.
Alongside my current private practice, I work with Cyfannol Women's Aid, providing counselling on a project supporting survivors of historical sexual violence and abuse.
I am a trauma-informed therapist with specialist training, experienced in working with many presentations including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, grief, relationship issues, trauma, and abuse, with a focus on empowering clients to create meaningful change in their lives.
Find me in the Counselling Directory and on the BACP website.
